“For I was sick, and you took care of me.”
– Jesus (Matt 25:36)
First Congregational has had a vibrant Visitation Ministry for decades. Those on the team work confidentially with pastoral staff to ensure that all members of our congregation are cared for. The Visitation Team creates bouquets from Sunday’s sanctuary flower to deliver to individuals in our church. We also organize coffee times in a few of the independent- and assisted-living communities in our area. We also plan social events for individuals to connect with one another.
If you or someone you know would like a visit from our pastoral staff and the Visitation Ministry, please email Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org. Jesus calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Our Visitation Ministry is one way we fulfill Christ’s call to love.
“My role on the Visitation Committee has given me the opportunity to support our church family and our pastors. I have made many new friends by visiting with our members in their homes and delivering flowers. It is fulfilling and purposeful work.”
