Women's Fellowship
The
Women's Fellowship has been an important part of our church
since our earliest days. Only a few months after the church was organized, the
Ladies Sewing Society formed to help fund the new church building. Ever since,
the church has had an women's organization.
The Women's Fellowship has its own constitution, officers and treasury. All
women of the church are welcome to participate in Women's Fellowship. The
stated purpose of the Women's Fellowship is:
 | to help cultivate the spirit of Christ |
 | to promote acquaintance among the members of the church |
 | to give its members greater knowledge of activities of the church in wide
and varied fields |
 | to support our church and its missions |
The Women's Fellowship meets
three times a year for a luncheon and
fellowship. The
Fellowship has small groups -- the Mary Circle, Rachel Circle and Ruth Circle --
that meet two times a year for fellowship, devotions and programs. Current
officers of the Women's Fellowship are: President,
Mary Hosler; Secretary, Mary Lou Furan; and Treasurer, Shirley Anderson.
The fall Rummage Sale
(October 18, 2008) is a major project of the Women's
Fellowship. They spend hours organizing and pricing donated items before opening
the doors to the community. The proceeds often are used for special projects
within the church.
