Those who sing pray twice.
Believing that music is an important part
of spirituality,
our
church
supports
vocal and instrumental music and offers special music events throughout the year.
The Church Band plays during the 10am
worship service once or twice a year. Musicians of all ages are encouraged to
participate.
Children age 3 through
third grade enjoy music weekly as part of Sunday School. Fourth through
eighth graders enjoy a variety of musical opportunities during the year and High School youth
sing often throughout the year.
With the talent and oversight of Music Coordinator Joan Waniger, we
introduce the younger children to simple songs of our faith, and provide
opportunities for the older children to express their faith through a
variety of styles of Christian music - contemporary and traditional.
Small instrumental or vocal ensembles enhance worship throughout the
year.
The Handbell Choir is for adults of all
ages. They present music in worship approximately five times a year. This
choir rehearses at 6:15pm on Thursdays during the school year. Volunteer Suellen Retzlaff directs
this choir.
