We're a congregation of close to 700 members, with 200-250
adults and 70-100 children and youth in worship each Sunday.
|
|
The congregation is governed by its members, who make all
decisions regarding finances, pastoral leadership, programming, worship, etc.
|
|
Twice a year, a regular congregational meeting is held -- in
February, to approve the budget for that year and in June, to elect officers and
elect persons to church boards and committees. Special congregational meetings
may also be held.
|
|
In between congregational meetings, the Church Council governs
on behalf of the entire congregation. The Church Council is composed of the
Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of each church board.
|
| The members of the church have developed and approved the
Constitution and Bylaws.
These govern the organizational life of the church. |
| The members of the congregation elect persons to serve on the church Boards and
Committees. Most members serve for a three-year term, which can be renewed once.
